Color Me Healthy

“Color Me Healthy” is a toy-like educational tool that helps children develop healthy eating habits.

Inspired by the nutritional research of the “5 A Day” program at (now called "Fruits and Veggies: More Matters"), it is designed to provide a fun and easy way for children to track the different colored fruits and vegetables they eat each day.

Using multicolored rings and pegs to represent the different color groups and a special measuring cup that teaches what one "serving size" is, this product encourages children and parents to eat healthy, balanced meals and to avoid dietary problems such as obesity and diabetes.

This concept was nominated for the INDEX 2005 “Design to Improve Life” competition, and was written about in an article about "Designs to Improve Health" in the Dutch magazine Montag Morgen (Monday Morning).
